Paarl  is easily accessible from the entire Cape Peninsula, and situated 60 kilometers from Cape Town and is readily accessible from the N1. 

The farm is 6 km from Paarl, and 35 km from Stellenbosch and Franschoek.  Paarl is situated between the Paarl mountains and the Drakenstein Mountains, in the wide Berg river valley.  The farm abuts against the Paarl Mountain Reserve which features over 2 200 hectares of pristine nature reserve.

The farm lies between  33 and 34 degrees south latitude.and enjoys an average of 650mm of rain per annum.  Several dams on the farm collect rain from the mountains to the north and provide ample water for irrigation.

Prevailing winds off the ocean  50 kms to the south and west ensure a cool  climate throughout the year with temperatures between 19 and 25 degrees centigrade.

The area surrounding Paarl Mountai is home to famous wine farms because of the favourable soils and climate. The farm has an altitude of between 150 and 300 meters above sea level.

The soils vary with altitude. The main soil on the slopes is granite-shale on a clay sub-soil with excellent water retention.  In the valley the soils tend to be sandy alluvials .  There are a number of distinct and very individual “terroiresavailable ideally suited for the production of different grape varieties.
